Traditionally items for the kitchen are regarded as gifts for women, but this is very old-school thinking. Men love gadgets and devices and, following on the lead from the likes of Jamie Oliver and Gordon Ramsay and others, they are also spending more and more time preparing meals. So, look for something cool and trendy that can be both manly and a talking point. Fancy wine openers, coffee makers or meat tenderizers. Or even just a recipe book if you think he needs a bit of motivation to do more in the kitchen.
