Wyoming’s small batch bourbon pours into Wisconsin, Illinois and Minnesota

Kirby, Wyo. (June 30, 2015) - Wyoming Whiskey, maker of award-winning small batch bourbon has added three more states to its area of distribution. Wyoming Whiskey is now available for purchase in Wisconsin, Illinois and Minnesota by Wirtz Beverage. Indiana, Kentucky and Tennessee will follow shortly thereafter.

This growth was anticipated with the recent hiring of Wyoming Whiskey’s VP and National Sales Director, Frank Sacca. Sacca was hand-selected by Wyoming Whiskey in April to lead rapid national expansion.

A company founded and operated by 4th generation Wyoming cattle ranchers, Wyoming Whiskey offers traditional bourbon from an untraditional place.  It is made using classic bourbon distilling methods with ingredients sourced exclusively from the Big Horn Basin in central Wyoming. Hand-selected non-GMO corn, wheat and barley are all grown locally in Kirby, Byron, Thermopolis and Riverton.  Water for the recipe is sourced from a mile-deep, limestone aquifer that has not seen the light of day in over 6,000 years. The bourbon itself is distilled on a working cattle ranch in Kirby, Wyoming.

“This bourbon is coming off the range and is beginning to trickle east of the Mississippi river. We are proud to share this 100% Wyoming bourbon with even more Americans,” said Frank Sacca, VP and National Sales Director at Wyoming Whiskey. “So far, we have been welcomed with enthusiasm. Wyoming Whiskey has gotten a taste of true Midwest hospitality.”

Wyoming Whiskey’s Small Batch Bourbon is medium amber in color with a nose of sweet corn, molasses, and clove.  It is medium bodied with a palate of vanilla, caramel, charred oak, and a hint of citrus.  The finish is mild with lingering caramel and toast, and is very smooth.

“We are confident in the direction that Frank is leading us. We are proud to offer Wyoming’s whiskey to bourbon lovers throughout the U.S.,” said Brad Mead, Founder of Wyoming Whiskey.

Wyoming Whiskey will be available at bars and liquor stores throughout Wisconsin, Illinois and Minnesota this summer.  In addition, Wyoming Whiskey is currently distributed in 12 western states which are listed at www.wyomingwhiskey.com/wp/consumers. The northeast will be the next phase of the national expansion.
