Los Angeles, CA – June 29, 2015 – The swinging, raucous sound of New Hampshire-based octet The Soggy Po' Boys is one that offers an unforgettable experience of traditional New Orleans jazz. Known for their "lively blend of fun and insanity," the Po' Boys will kick off their 12-city tour next month – starting July 9th in New York. To check out their complete list of dates, which includes stops in D.C., Asheville, and Knoxville, visit www.SoggyPoBoys.com

Led by guitarist and lead vocalist Stu Dias, Soggy Po' Boys consists of Eric Klaxton (saxophone), Colin Mainella (trumpet), Zach Lange (trumpet), Nick Mainella (saxophone), Mike Effenberger (piano), Brett Gallo (drums) and Claude Fried (sousaphone). The band's Big Easy influence helped them cultivate a musical style of their own. Their hefty big brass sound and Stu Dias' vocals have crafted a new niche of swinging jazz – not only within their hometown of Dover but throughout New Hampshire.

In addition to their weekly residency at Sonny's Tavern, Po' Boys recently wrapped up a string of performances in the Northeast. They also completed their new album 'No Worse for Wear' which debuts this summer – copies will be on sale during the tour. Produced by The Soggy Po' Boys and mixed by Chris Chase of 1130 ft, 'No Worse for Wear' features 10-tracks. The album is diverse and genre-spanning and speaks to the creative heterogeneity of the group. Within the 10 tracks a listener will hear frenetic, pulsing brass band songs, slow, sultry, tangoes, upbeat, percussion-heavy funk, and dreamy, melancholy ballads.

About Soggy Po' Boys

The Soggy Po' Boys were born on Mardi Gras, 2012. Makes perfect sense given their name, and the fact that they're a New Orleans flavored octet. Residing in Seacoast, New Hampshire, the Po' Boys have been honing their craft every Tuesday night, first at the late Barley Pub, and now at Sonny's Tavern – both in the band's hometown of Dover. Much in the spirit of the great residency that exists at New Orleans' own Spotted Cat Music Club where the legendary Vipers have thrown down on every Monday for the past god-knows-how-long, the Po' Boys are steeped in tradition while in search of creating tradition all their own. With a repertoire of New Orleans standards, spirituals, contemporary music, and swing tunes, the Po' Boys offer a lively blend of fun and insanity.
