KANSAS CITY, MO. (June 29, 2015) – Westport Café and Bar’s fifth anniversary celebration continues this month with the announcement of a fresh dinner menu featuring 10 new items including three hors d'oeuvres, one sandwich and six entrees. The French-inspired bistro also debuts five new, seasonally-inspired cocktails, joined by three favorites from previous years. Additionally, Westport Café and Bar will continue to celebrate its fifth anniversary through Tuesday, June 30 by offering guests Pommes FREEts, a complimentary order of its famous Pommes Frites with any purchase.

New Menu Items

Developed by chef owners Aaron Confessori and Richard Wiles, the new dinner menu pulls from Westport Café and Bar’s French-inspired roots, featuring simple, fresh ingredients and classic flavors. The new menu items are available now as follows:

Hors D'Oeuvres:

Charred Corn and Tomato Soup, $6

Terrine Chicken Liver and Foie Gras, $10

Crispy Lamb Terrine, $12

Salades et Sanwichs:

Broadway Butcher Pastrami (Russian dressing, gruyere, sauerkraut), $14

Entrees:

Rainbow Trout (sauce verge, pine nuts, cous cous), $22

Lamb Pappardelle (San Marzano, Grana Padano), $18

Grilled Faroe Island Salmon (wilted kale, haircots verts, mustard beurre blanc), $23

Crispy Fried Chicken with macaroni gratin, $18

Mustard braised pork shoulder with creamy polenta, $20

Sliced Hanger Steak with salsa verde, $21

New Seasonal Cocktails

Developed by longtime bartender Bronson Kistler, the five new cocktails utilize fresh ingredients combined with seasonal herbs and spices, as well as interesting craft spirits and house-made syrups. The cocktail menu is now available as follows:

New House Cocktails, $10:

Pickwick Club – Citadelle Gin, Orgeat, orange blossom, lemon, egg white

Consul – Famous Grouse Scotch, Mezcal Vida, Dolin Rouge, Falernum, bitters

Le Claire – Ketel One Vodka, red bell pepper, lime, all spice, sparkling wine

Devil in Trinidad – Angostura 5-year rum, chili-infused Aperol, Cherry Heering, lemon

Gardenia – Boodles Gin, Dolin Blanc, lemon, mint, dash of Absinthe

House Cocktails back by popular demand, $10:

Winter Smash – Four Roses Bourbon, honey, peach, lemon, mint

(House Cocktails remaining on the menu include: Charlie Sour, Brother’s Keeper and Miracle on 43rd)

Classic Cocktails back by popular demand, $9:

Aviation – Hayman’s Old Tom Gin, Luxardo Maraschino, crème de violette, lemon

Brown Derby – Buffalo Trace Bourbon, grapefruit, lemon, honey

(Classic Cocktails remaining on the menu include: Old Fashioned, Suffering Bastard, Champagne Cocktail and Pimm’s Cup)
