Grand Rapids, Mich., January 20, 2016 – Deckorators^® is pleased to announce the availability of revolutionary Deckorators Vault composite decking — a product that looks and works just like wood, but is stronger and more stable than anything on the wood-alternative decking market today.

Vault’s strength comes from patented Eovations^TM technology, which gives it the industry’s best strength-to-weight ratio, and unmatched stability. Deckorators backs Vault with an industry-leading 25-year structural, 25-year stain-and-fade and 25-year removal-and-replacement warranty.

“Deckorators Vault decking is a giant leap forward in wood-alternative decking, and we’re excited to make it available for 2016,” said Chris Camfferman, director of category marketing for Universal Forest Products, Inc. (UFPI). Deckorators is a leading brand of the Universal Forest Products family of companies

“It is unique in the true sense of the word: No decking uses this technology, nothing looks or works like it, and nothing on the market lasts as long,” Camfferman said. “It will meet the rigorous needs of deck builders, and is certain to exceed the performance and aesthetic expectations of homeowners. This is the newest and best generation in a product category that was waiting for an extraordinary breakthrough. Vault is it.”

The revolutionary Eovations process creates a composite that performs, feels and looks like wood — without any wood content. Vault cuts, drills, shapes and fastens as easily as wood. Yet it is 35 percent lighter than WPC and similar in weight to PVC, making it easy for contractors to handle on the job site. It’s also twice as strong as PVC decking based on stiffness-to-weight ratio, and more durable than the strongest lumber in the world.

Vault is made of polyolefins and minerals, and features a lightweight but tough composite core with no organic content. The extruded Eovations process results in a fibrous, stable deck board that stays put when installed and is not affected by sun, water or microbes because it uses no organic material.

“Deckorators Vault decking is designed to help contractors set themselves apart and improve the overall experience of installing a premium, beautiful deck,” Camfferman said. “Deck builders can also have peace of mind from our industry-leading warranty, including the 25-year removal-and-replacement warranty that’s the first of its kind.”

Measuring 7/8” thick x 5-1/2” wide, Deckorators Vault boards come in beautiful dusk andmesquite color options, with slotted- or solid-edge profiles for design flexibility. Fascia is available in both dusk and mesquite and also comes in white.

“With Deckorators Vault decking, we talk not only about strength-to-weight ratio for contractors, but also strength-to-beauty ratio for homeowners,” Camfferman said. “Today’s consumers want unique, long-lasting outdoor living spaces that help them stand out from the crowd. Deckorators Vault decking is made to deliver a beautiful look and unparalleled performance over time.”
