World Premiere at the SUNDANCE FILM FESTIVAL
on January 23, 2016
Written and directed by Zombie, 31 tells the story of five friends who are kidnapped on the day before Halloween and are held hostage. While trapped, they must play a violent game called 31, in which the mission is to survive 12 hours against a gang of evil clowns. Sidell emerges as ‘Georgina Victor’ in an unforgettable scene at a crucial point in this nightmare that has all the ingredients of a cult classic.
This terror tale stars Sheri Moon Zombie, genre veteran Malcolm McDowell, Meg Foster, Elizabeth Daily and Jeff Daniel Phillips; and comes from independent distributing giant Alchemy.
Sure to be a fan favorite, Sidell jumped at the opportunity to be part of Zombie’s newest gruesome film, "I knew that the role was risqué and would push the boundaries of the horror genre, and that's what excited me about it."
Up next, Sidell appears opposite Seth Gabel in the new dramatic indie short, Hyperthermia. And she is currently shooting the lead role in the comedy web series L.A. Picker, based on her love of hunting for vintage treasures at estate sales and flea markets.
Since graduating from Princeton University, Sidell has built a solid resume and reputation in Hollywood. Her credits include numerous appearances on acclaimed television shows, including Ray Donovan, Grandfathered, The Middle, The O.C., Parks and Recreation, Anger Management and Numb3rs among others. On stage, Sidell shined in award-winning shows at the Kirk Douglas Theatre, as well as, on The Broad Stage opposite Josh Gad and Bryce Dallas Howard. She won an L.A. Weekly Award for her performance in "Land of the Tigers" at Sacred Fools Theatre and was nominated for both LADCC and Ovation Awards for her performance in "The Behavior of Broadus."
Devin Sidell is represented by Mimi Mayer of Angel City Talent and Melanie Sharp of Sharp Talent Management.
