Regina Wallace-Jones Joins Women Who Code Advisory Board

Head of Security Operations at Facebook Becomes Executive Team Member at International Women in Tech Advocacy Organization

SAN FRANCISCO, February 9, 2016 — Women Who Code (WWCode), a 501c3 that works to inspire women to achieve success in technology careers, is proud to announce that Regina Wallace-Jones has joined their advisory board. The Head of Security Operations at Facebook, Regina is a well-known advocate for women in pursuit of their professional ambitions. Joining the Women Who Code team she will now help support and promote the organization's international efforts.

Prior to joining Facebook, Regina partnered with the Lean In Foundation to help launch Sheryl Sandberg's book, “Lean In: Women, Work and the Will to Lead.” She is also a patron of Black Girls Code, a non-profit designed to foster software development skills among girls. When asked about joining Women Who Code she said, “I believe this organization is doing vital work, and I want to be a part of the solutions they are providing to help alleviate the gender disparity that exists in the technology industry.”

In joining the Advisory Board, Regina has become an advocate for Women Who Code and has pledged to provide support for the mission and programs that the organization produces and promotes around the world. She will also have a voice in the organization's goals and be able to collaborate with some of the top names in tech, to come up with ways to empower women to excel in the industry.
