Former Air Force Master Sergeant Adopts Two Little Girls and Launches Kids’ Event to Help Families Save Money for Fall, Winter, Halloween Holidays. Just Between Friends Children’s Consignment Set for Oct. 16 – 18 at Breakaway
- Written by Pitch Engine

Charlotte, NC – Nearly every parent knows that kids can be expensive. The USDA’s latest report says the average cost to raise a child is $245,000 from birth to age 18. When Charlotte mom Pam Catron adopted two little girls last year, she quickly learned how expensive kids can be. She retired from the Air Force in 2013 and wanted to provide a good home for the 1 and 2 year-old sisters. As a single mom, she was searching for ways to save money and looking for an opportunity to work from home.
After researching, she found something that solved both dilemmas: Just Between Friends Children’s Consignment Event – which is North America’s leading children’s and maternity consignment event. She is organizing Just Between Friends first fall consignment event in Charlotte Oct. 16 – 18. There are two ways for families to make money.
1. Traditional consignor – Sign up online at http://charlotte.jbfsale.com/sellView.jsp JBF has a simple, online barcode tagging system and sellers price their own items, drop them off at Breakaway Sports on Oct. 15 or 16 and JBF does the rest. Consignors earn 65 to 70 percent and there is no limit on how much they can sell.
2. Valet Service - JBF also offers “valet tagging” services where they will take care of the prepping and pricing. The consignor earns 50% of the sale price
Pam Catron is thrilled to help other families throughout Charlotte make ends meet – by saving and making money on kids’ items.
“I honestly had no idea how much things cost for children – especially clothing which they go through so quickly. I fell in love with the concept of consignment shopping and selling and I am excited to bring this great event to families – who can shop in one day and get nearly everything they need for their children in one place and save 50 to 90%,” added Pam.

SAFETY FIRST – JBF INSPECTIONS & RECALLED STROLLER BUYBACK
JBF has a recall specialist on staff that works with the Consumer Product Safety Commission to stay up to date on all recalls. Workers at the JBF event will check items to ensure they are not on the recall list, playing close attention to cribs and car seats. In addition, they are partnering with Graco to buy back Graco Alano, Passage or Spree strollers and/or travel systems, recalled in 2010. Graco recalled the models due to fingertip amputation and lacerations hazards; however, Graco is no longer manufacturing the repair kit for these strollers. Families can bring the recalled strollers to the local JBF event and will receive a $25.00 gift card to shop at the JBF event. JBF will return the stroller to Graco and it will be destroyed.
