New Stand-Up Comedy Tour

"I'M ONLY GAY ON THE WEEKENDS"

Hits LAS VEGAS SEPTEMBER 7-13, 2015

LAS VEGAS (August 14, 2015) – Comedian JASON STUART hits the Strip headlining his new stand-up comedy tour “I’m Only Gay On The Weekends” at The Tropicana Hotel’s renowned LAUGH FACTORY comedy club on September 7-13, 2015 with co-headliner Andrew Norelli. And, in Nashville for one show only on September 23rd at ZANIES Comedy Club.

An outrageously openly gay comedian, Stuart is known for serving-up brutal honesty with humor in a world that’s not always kind. In his new show, “I’m Only Gay On The Weekends,” Stuart takes audiences on a hilarious journey with his latest realization, "I’m just too busy to be gay all week…and the up-keep is just too much!”

Stuart has been making people across the country laugh out loud for over 20 years. With a “Don Rickles” comedic style, this crowd-pleaser transcends the boundaries of race, gender and sexual orientation sharing his experiences as a single Jewish gay man living in Hollywood. He has performed at hundreds of comedy clubs, in addition to LGBT events, the Montreal Comedy Festival, Broadway and to 100,000 people at the Millennium March in D.C.

Stuart gained legions of fans for his one-hour comedy special “Making It To The Middle” and his CD “Gay Comedy With Out A  Dress”; in addition to performing on “One Night Stand Up, Wisecrack” and “Comics Unleashed.” This loud and proud stand-up also recently released his new comedy CD “I’m The Daddy and I Have Candy,” heralded as “lightning quick and very funny” by TheSeriousComedySite.com.

Audiences also recognize Stuart as an actor with over 175 films and television credits on his resume. He just wrapped a major supporting role, as plantation owner Joseph Randall, in the Nat Turner bio-pic BIRTH OF A NATION, starring Nate Parker and Armie Hammer. He also notably appears in filmmaker Sean Baker’s Sundance Festival hit, TANGERINE, which gained attention for being shot entirely on an iPhone. Other recent credits include the Outfest hit “Baby Steps,” “Holy Land” written by James Franco, and “Hush Up Sweet Charlotte” set to premiere at San Francisco’s Castro Theatre in September. His previous television appearances include “Sleepy Hollow,” “The Secret Life of the American Teenager,” “Entourage,” “It’s Always Sunny in Philadelphia” and more.

Stuart’s work transcends from entertainment to real-life as an advocate and mentor. He is the National Co-Chair of the SAG-AFTRA LGBT Committee and a youth mentor through the Lifeworks Program. In addition, Stuart directed and stars in the award-winning web series, MENTOR, which takes a humorous but touching look at the realities of pursuing your dreams.
