Founder Chris Sugai to Focus on Brand and Product Direction while Dedicating More Time to Advocacy and Growing of the Sport with Gann Handling Day-to-Day Operations

February 2, 2016 (Fort Collins, CO) - Niner announced today they have appointed Mike Gann the role of President. Mike joined Niner Bikes in 2011 in the role of Operations Manager where he was quickly promoted to VP of Operations and COO. In 2013 Mike was appointed Managing Director and oversaw the consolidation of their warehousing and operations into their new home in Fort Collins that opened earlier this month. The new facility houses R&D, marketing, product management, and a warehouse all in one place, a move which gives the brand efficiencies and serves as a new home for growth.

“I'm honored to have the backing of Chris, Niner's board, and fellow staff.  During the last five years with Niner I have had the privilege of getting to know our global customers while helping build our internal team.  I have learned as much as contributed and it is humbling to be part of a company that embodies so much passion and riding culture,” said Gann. “Niner is going to show its riders and customers massive product and operational improvements this year. I am fortunate to lead our extremely passionate and capable Niner family.  Look for exciting launches this season and for Niner to really step up its service to riders and dealers worldwide” cited Gann.

Niner’s founder Chris Sugai added, “I’m confident in this role change and the brand’s future success. Mike is more than capable of taking the helm and steering us into the next chapter. For me, I’m happy to spend more time growing the sport of mountain biking and ensuring we have places to ride the awesome products we make for generations to come.”
