Broadcast debut on Tuesday, November 24 at 7 p.m. on the Travel Channel

KANSAS CITY, Mo. (November 23, 2015) – Q39 is proud to represent Kansas City as one of the featured locations on the Travel Channel’s Bizarre Foods “Kansas City: Snoots & Spleens” with renowned host, Andrew Zimmern. The episode airs Tuesday, November 24 at 7 p.m. on Travel Channel. Other Kansas City restaurants featured are Arthur Bryants, Joe’s KC, Local Pig and Woodyard Bar-B-Que.

Zimmern visited Kansas City in June to satisfy his carnivorous cravings. Zimmern toured Q39 during his visit to chat with Q39 owner, Chef Rob, about his award-winning barbecue, and to sample Chef Rob’s signature dishes, including burnt ends, honey glazed ribs and the burnt end burger.

During Zimmern’s visit at Q39, Kansas City Barbeque Society (KCBS) co-founder, Carolyn Wells, walked Zimmern through the criteria of judging of ribs in a barbecue competition.

Q39 is a new concept in Kansas City barbecue led by Rob Magee, owner and executive chef, and his wife Kelly Magee. The restaurant features a full-service staff and the area’s first open barbeque kitchen. The restaurant’s menu features barbeque-inspired wood-fire grilled dishes, as well as recipes from hundreds of award-winning barbeque dishes served at contests around the nation by barbeque team Munchin’ Hogs, also led by Magee.
