GENRE IS OVERRATED: FIRST HOMETOWN FEST LINEUP ANNOUNCED!

Join in the HOMETOWN parade – a genre defying two-day music and arts celebration featuring 50 local and international acts. Set at the Brisbane Showgrounds from November 23-24, HOMETOWN FEST is a premium music, arts and culture festival, with a mix of FREE family fun daytime events and a PAID VISITORS ARENA at night.

ESCAPE – EXPLORE – ENGAGE – BE ENTERTAINED with Brisbane’s newest festival that breaks down barriers between people and music.  Embracing the Brisbane landscape and showcasing artists including indie / rock songstress DOOLIE, ROUTE 33, ELECTRIK LEMONADE, BROOKE SCHUBERT and Australian Idol alum HAYLEY JENSEN – there is something for everyone. No matter what your genre of choice, HOMETOWN FEST caters to everyone’s tastes.  You can even get your face painted – though technically that's just for the kids!

Saturday 23 November will feature performances in the VISITORS ARENA by CCMA award winning MEGHAN PATRICK, WALKER HAYES, PARMALEE, ANDY VELO, CODIE PREVOST and HONEY COUNTY, all taking the stage for a country-infused extravaganza.

On Sunday 24 November CLAY WALKER, CRAIG MORGAN, LOGAN MIZE, DALLAS SMITH, KAYLEE BELL and KING CALAWAY will bring down the house to rival Nashville’s famed Opry theatre.

HOMETOWN FEST precincts include the VALLEY STAGE.  Why not stop by the Queen Bar in the Valley Laneway, while indie/rock SAN MEI take the stage.  Imagine the countryside as you partake in a free flower crown workshop on Rural Road in front of THE SHED STAGE, with performances by ADAM ECKERSLEY BAND and HURRICANE FALL.

A nod to Expo 88, EXPO ALLEY is a food and wine precinct, while CROSSROADS PARK is the intersection where country meets pop and rock, with a huge shade installation incorporating bars, food and picnic areas to take in performances by FANNY LUMSDEN and BRAD COX.    KIDZONE features its own small stage, complete with a petting zoo and barn dancing for the littlies with FARMER BOB.

HOMETOWN FEST has something for everyone!  Judged by Hometown Heroes BROOKE SCHUBERT and ROUTE 33, you can also have the chance to win $5-10k for your school via the HOMETOWN MUSICAL KIDS PROGRAM, with the winning groups set to perform live onstage during HOMETOWN FEST.  Enter here for your chance to win.

HOMETOWN is a real place, but also a community of artists converging on Brisbane for two days in November.  The full line-up includes:
