The stylish space: 5 benefits of a complete home office

  • Written by: Daily Bulletin

The home office has become ubiquitous since the pandemic, but that doesn’t mean it's complete. TV consoles masquerading as desks, strange sofa situations and outrageously uncomfortable stools are not the makings of a stylish home office, nor are they conducive to comfort or creativity!

If your “home office” is one as thrown together as an op-shop outfit then it’s time to consider the benefits of creating a complete space, one replete with everything you would expect to see in a successful home worker’s abode.

Here are five fantastic benefits of a stylish home office:

  1. It provides peace & quiet

Which we all need when we’re working. Sure, it can be of occasional entertainment to have the kids come crashing around when we’re in the middle of a Zoom meeting, but it’s not what we want all the time, especially when we’re trying to make real power moves from the peace and comfort of a stylish home office complete with a quality chair, office supplies and one of the most elegant desks Sydney has for home workers!

  1. It allows you to create your own space

Many workplaces don’t allow their staff to create the space they really want. And, let’s be honest: a creative space is one that is conducive to higher productivity, and so we should be able to create a space that will help us produce the most outstanding work possible!

So, having your own stunning home office allows you to add everything from artwork to ornaments, flowers to family photos and anything else you want that you don’t have to worry about is going to irritate your colleague who thinks it’s “on their side”.

  1. You can choose the right configurations for your comfort

Workplaces typically design office spaces with cookie cutter designs. You know what we mean: long, interconnected tables, stock standard computer chairs, filing cabinets that force us to bend down to them in outrageous discomfort!

At home, you can create a space that is truly comfortable for you. All you have to do is find the spatial configurations that are perfect for your frame: desk height, a dynamic chair and storage space that sits in a highly reachable place. This all goes a long way to suiting your needs in the home and creating a highly comfortable space that is conducive to greater productivity!

  1. You always have a comfortable space to work in

You never know when you might be asked to work from home one day and then come into the office the next - for many companies this is the module of the post-pandemic workplace. So, if one day you’re required to work from home, you want to be able to do so in a space that is comfortable and allows you to be prepared for the unpredictable nature of your work.

Having a comprehensive home office space is the perfect way to be prepared for such days when you can kick it around the home a bit more than rushing around the office!

  1. You have a comfortable, stylish space that is truly your own

Because at the end of the day we are a lot more productive in a space that suits our comfort and productivity needs. Sure, laying back on the couch whilst compiling an Excel report beats being in the office, but does it allow us to create our best work?

The trick is to find the happy medium, and that happy medium is a comprehensive home office space complete with your needs as a highly valuable, successful team member!

Car queries: what to ask your importer

  • Written by: Daily Bulletin

If you have ever tried to import a vehicle to Australia then believe us - we feel your pain! Bringing in a vehicle Down Under can look exactly like something off Border Security, with customs agents scrutinising every last detail regarding your stunning new ride.

To be fair, they’re just doing their jobs, but this can make the process of delivery difficult for an import novice, especially when you add the mountains of paperwork that you have to go through to finally get it to your home.

If all this sounds a bit frustrating for you then we understand, the customs process can be tedious, but that’s why brokers exist on your behalf - we are here to make the process an absolute breeze so that you don’t have to worry about any of this!

But to enlist the best personal car import to Australia you need the best team in your corner. But how do you find that team? How do you select the squad that’s going to help you find the best deal on your vehicle whilst making it easier to clear customs and head right for your garage?

Simply ask them a few questions running along the lines of:

  1. How long have you been in the brokerage industry?

When you work in international vehicle brokering for a long time, you build up a lot of contacts whilst gaining priceless experience. Therefore, the first thing you want to know is how long the broker has been working in the industry?

After all, you want to be able to go with a team who is going to have access to a range of resources including international vehicles list, auction houses and vendors, not to mention the experience that has had them see it all in this industry.

The more experience they have the easier it will be for them to handle frustrating issues Australian customs might want to throw your way.

  1. Do you have access to vehicles across the globe

There are many fantastic vehicle markets across the world, with Japan and the United States being the very start of what is a wonderful global industry with plenty of incredible options to choose from.

As such, you always have access to a broker who has a network of vendors across the globe. For example, you might be looking for a 2000s Skyline, in which case you will need a broker who has plenty of access to Japan’s market and so on!

  1. How long will the process take?

An experienced broker should be able to give you a pretty good idea of how long the importing process will take. Of course, this industry can throw a few curve balls, the likes of which can delay or even speed up the process, but a good broker should have a general idea of how long it will take them to get your awesome new car straight to your garage.

  1. When can we get started?

Because you obviously don’t want to wait months on end for the importing process to begin - you want to get your new vehicle ASAP! So, if the potential broker is a bit iffy about when they can begin work on your behalf, it might be likely that they have taken on too many clients to give you the full personal experience and one that will result in the very best vehicle coming straight to your home and ready to drive!
