Dear readers,

As the end of the year approaches, we are pleased to share our annual stakeholder report.

It includes editorial highlights from a year marked by the rise of “post-truth” politics, as well as updates on public engagement metrics, audience reports, news from our global network, and more.

As we redouble our efforts for 2017 - has there ever been a time when academic expertise is more needed in public debate? - we thank you for your support in 2016. Whether you’re a university, funder, author, interested stakeholder, a Friend of TC, or a reader, we would not exist without you.

And we’re not done just yet - still two full weeks of normal service until we move to a slightly reduced holiday publishing schedule over the break.

Until then, thanks again for your support in 2016 and happy reading.
