Independent Research Firm Recognises Information Builders

New York, NY, March 27, 2015 – Information Builders, a leader in business intelligence (BI) and analytics, information integrity, and integration solutions, today announced that Forrester Research cited the company as a Leader in its report, “The Forrester Wave™: Enterprise Business Intelligence Platforms, Q1 2015.” The evaluation is based on Information Builders’ WebFOCUS BI and analytics platform, which Forrester recognised as a preferred choice for enterprises where high-end scalability and integrated components are among the top requirements.

According to Forrester, it is the completeness, comprehensiveness, and integration of the entire BI architectural stack that differentiates the Leaders. The report states; “In addition to increasingly popular features like analytics, data visualisation, dashboards, and data exploration, the Leaders also provide the pixel-perfect, industrial-strength report writers that companies still need.” The Forrester Wave evaluated Information Builders and ten additional top software providers against 60 criteria, and found the company had the highest scores in the areas of current offering and architecture.

According to the Forrester report, “Information Builders [offers] a broad platform to support all enterprise BI needs. WebFOCUS continues to be a preferred choice for enterprises where high-end scalability and a broad set of integrated BI components are among the top requirements… it provides one-stop BI shopping; and it can help clients reduce dependency on a single software stack vendor.”

In addition to the findings of this report, Information Builders’ WebFOCUS technology also ensures that non-technical, mainstream users can benefit from data-backed insights. The company’s InfoApps™ extend these benefits a step further, enabling organisations to operationalise insights by empowering users to make data-backed decisions that align with business goals.

“We believe the Forrester report validates that the ability to deliver on the information needs of all stakeholders is a critical element of 21st century BI and analytics success,” said Gerald Cohen, president and CEO, Information Builders. “This has been our central focus for the past 40 years, and our technology continues to evolve to keep pace with the changing needs and demographics of BI users. Information Builders is thrilled to be positioned as a Leader in the Forrester Wave, as we feel it’s a recognition of our ongoing achievements in this area.”
