Pets and Owners Unite Wearing ‘Cone of Shame’ in New Comedy Rap Video “CONE SOLIDARITY”

CONE SOLIDARITY delivers a stand-tall next to your healing pup message using hardcore rappers and dancers all donning golden cones. Showcased are rappers Puscie Jones, Baby Dynomite, Marvin Gardens and kimmie P featuring diva Briezy E, as they serve-up a comedic tone of commitment with lyrics like: “Knick knack paddy whack give a dog a cone; Give a man a cone; Then his dog’s not alone; Welcome to the Cone Zone.” The video also includes choreographed dances featuring both human performers and several four-legged friends. 

CONE SOLIDARITY is the brainchild of creator/producer KIM PEELER, “About a year ago, after getting some stitches, my dog was wearing 'the cone of shame' and looking super pathetic. We were sitting on the couch together, when I had an epiphany: 'What if I wore a cone in solidarity with you?”

Turning her sympathy into action, Peeler is donating half of the proceeds to a local animal rescue shelter, “I love that The Amanda Foundation isn’t just geared toward alleviating the problem; they're aimed at fixing it. They’re not just an adoption facility, but offer a hospital, and spay and neuter services as well, providing free care to low-income neighborhoods. I can’t think of a better animal organization to donate time or money to – so let’s all take CONE SOLIDARITY viral!” 

As a producer/director/writer, Peeler has built a solid reputation for working on projects with a worthy mission. She is best known for her work on several celebrated AOL web series, including You’ve Got (winner: bronze Telley Award), Unscripted, Citizen Mars, Beyond the Horizon Directed by Jared Leto, Breaking Boundaries (winner: North American Travel Journal Award for ‘Best Online Travel Series’), 2 Point Lead, and Now What with Ryan Duffy. Her feature documentary, New Orleans in Black and White, also earned high-praise as an ‘Official Selection’ at the New York Independent Film Festival.
