Arizona IT solutions company provides sports entertainment for the seriously ill with game tickets

Scottsdale-based Trapp Technology, a provider of IT, Internet, and cloud hosting solutions, recently donated 28 local sporting event tickets to the campers at Camp Soaring Eagle—a non-profit organization that provides year-round, medically supervised camping programs for children and family members across Arizona with chronic or life threatening illnesses at no cost to them. Held at the US Airways Center in downtown Phoenix, the luxury suite seats at both the Phoenix Mercury and Arizona Rattlers events were fully occupied by the happy campers over the July 10th weekend.
In the state of Arizona alone, 241,067 children are living with special healthcare needs. Since 2008, Camp Soaring Eagle has supported over 5,000 young patients and those affected with a broad range of illnesses including: blood disorders, cancer, Down Syndrome, Inflammatory Bowel Disease, Metabolic Syndrome, Mitochondrial Disease, neuromuscular impairments, respiratory diseases, and type 1 diabetes.
“When a child is diagnosed with a life threatening illness, it affects the entire family. Unique opportunities like local sporting events allow them to take a break from the grinding schedule of tests, treatments and hospital stays, and simply focus on being a family,” said Tiffany Bennett, Marketing and Communications Manager at Camp Soaring Eagle. “On behalf of the 1,700 campers we will service this year, Camp Soaring Eagle would like to thank Trapp Technology for partnering with us in providing some much needed reprieve for our camper families.”
“We are privileged with the ability to give back to the community in which we operate,” said Nicole Wheeler, Event Coordinator at Trapp Technology. “Camp Soaring Eagle’s mission to welcome healing through laughter and play is something Trapp Technology admires and is proud to support. We hope our donation restores resiliency to the children and families in their time of need.”
The donation to Camp Soaring Eagle was one of Trapp Technology’s most recent charitable efforts in the greater-Phoenix area. Committed to the community and its involvements, Trapp Technology has partnered with the Suns Charities, the CRC Foundation, Patrick Peterson Foundation, Arizona Hemophilia Foundation and others in the past to help facilitate events that directly benefit Arizona communities in need.
