Kathryn Thorson Gruhn recently hit ten Amazon Best-Seller lists in the United States and Canada with “The Soul of Success.”

Santa Barbara, CA – October 12, 2015 – Kathryn Thorson Gruhn recently joined a select group of business experts and entrepreneurs from around the world, along with Best-Selling Author® Jack Canfield, originator of the Chicken Soup for the Soul® series, to co-write the book , “The Soul of Success, Vol.1: The World’s Leading Entrepreneurs and Professionals Reveal Their Core Strategies for Getting to the Heart of Health, Wealth and Success”. After Kathryn Thorson Gruhn, attended her father’s post- laryngectomy surgery voice therapy at the Mayo Clinic in Rochester, Minnesota, she was convinced this was the career she wanted. After meeting Mother Theresa in India, helping others was engraved in her soul.

Finishing her degree at the University of Minnesota – Mankato, she worked in various school systems for ten years. She earned a Master’s Degree at Appalachian State University in North Carolina, with Certified Clinical Competence and worked in clinics, hospitals, rehab facilities and developmental day cares for twenty-five more years. Kathryn specialized in working with children from birth to seven in her private practice. 

Her most rewarding experience was working in an all-inclusive developmental facility in Charlotte, North Carolina. Physical therapists, occupational therapists, educational specialists and physicians were part of the team in this program. Parents and health care providers worked as partners to help each child reach their potential.

Inspired by her experience, Kathryn published the My Baby Compass series, a child development program that helps parents assess and enhance their child’s ability from birth to seven years of age. Pediatricians love the program because My Baby Compass helps parents document a child’s developmental history and provides coordinating activities to promote growth in speech, language, cognitive, hearing, physical and social/emotional skills.
