Philadelphia, Pennsylvania – August 26, 2015 – Robert Baldry,Assistant Vice President/Regulatory Affairs for Genpact Pharmalink, has been named to the Board of Directors of Philadelphia City Rowing, whichwas established in 2010 to empower Philadelphia public school students through the sport of rowing.

“We welcome Robert to our board, and are excited by the opportunity to have him contribute to our growing programs,” said Tony Schneider, Chairman of the Board of Philadelphia City Rowing.  “Robert is not only an active rower and distance runner, he is also committee member at Undine Barge Club. Having grown up, lived in and rowed in many cities around the world, Robert recognizes the unique gifts and challenges Philadelphia offers.  He is inspired to further the mission of Philadelphia City Rowing to make rowing more accessible to Philadelphia's high school children.”

Baldry is Assistant Vice President, Regulatory Affairs for Genpact Pharmalink, a global consultancy on regulatory process and technology projects for bio-pharmaceutical organizations.  Previously, Baldry has been a senior executive with Pfizer, as well as other pharmaceutical and technology companies.  He has a Bachelor of Arts degree in Business Administration and Management from the University of Wolverhampton (United Kingdom), as well as a BA in Business Administration and Management from Hogeschool INHOLLAND (Amsterdam).

“It is an honor to become a member of the Philadelphia City Rowing board of directors, and I am continually impressed by the diversity of the community the organization serves in what has become my adopted home town over the last 20 years,” said Baldry.  “I am confident my relationships in the rowing community and the business community, as well as my desire to raise funds and awareness will be helpful to Philadelphia City Rowing going forward.”

Philadelphia City Rowing was established in 2010 to empower Philadelphia public school students through the sport of rowing.  The organization provides mentoring, academic support, and a highly structured athletic program designed to reinforce the values that rowing instills. The program’s ultimate goals are to help local youth lead healthier lives, pursue a path to higher education, and reach their full potential.
