Ringling Bros. and Shatto Milk Company Cool Off Summer with Circus-Themed Ice Cream Social on National Ice Cream Day, July 19

Free event with free ice cream will feature Shatto ice cream and family-friendly entertainment; Proceeds will benefit Children’s Mercy Hospital
KANSAS CITY, MO. (June 30, 2015) – Ringling Bros. and Barnum & Bailey® is partnering with Shatto Milk Company to celebrate National Ice Cream Day and announce on-sale tickets for the seven-run show of Ringling Bros. and Barnum & Bailey Presents LEGENDSSM at Sprint Center, Sept. 10 – 13. The celebration, a “legendary” circus-themed ice cream social on National Ice Cream Day, Sunday, July 19, will feature free Shatto ice cream, family-friendly entertainment, including train rides and giveaways, from noon to 4 p.m. Additionally, Ringling Bros. and Shatto’s first collaborative endeavor will benefit Children’s Mercy Hospital through freewill donations and raffle ticket sales.

- The community is invited to attend a legendary ice cream social to celebrate National Ice Cream Day with free samples of Shatto ice cream and family-friendly entertainment including face painting and balloon artists. Giveaways, discount coupons to the show and photo opportunities will be available as well.

- The event’s official charitable partner is Children’s Mercy Hospital. Freewill donations will be accepted throughout the event. Additionally, attendees can enter to win Ringling Bros. and Barnum & Bailey gift sets by purchasing a $5 raffle ticket. All proceeds will benefit Children’s Mercy.
- The gift sets will include four ticket vouchers for Ringling Bros. and Barnum & Bailey Presents LEGENDS, one Dr. Suess’ “If I Ran The Circus” floor puzzle, one hardcopy of Dr. Suess’ “If I Ran The Circus,” and other fun items.
