Industry vet John Boccino hired to lead northeast expansion

Kirby, Wyo. (June 2, 2015) - Wyoming Whiskey, maker of award-winning small batch bourbon, has hired John Boccino as Northeast regional director of sales.

Boccino will work under the direction of Wyoming Whiskey’s VP and National Sales Director, Frank Sacca. Sacca was hand-selected by Wyoming Whiskey in April to lead rapid national expansion.

Boccino has worked in the spirits business for over 20 years. After an early career in finance, he worked for 10 years as the National Sales Administrator for William Grant & Son's.  In 2005, John solidified his career in sales, working as Northeast Regional Manager for Admiral Imports, Vision Wine & Spirits, and most recently Aveniu Brands, where he managed sales of extensive wine and spirits portfolios.

“John brings a wealth of experience in the industry and strong working relationships in the northeast territory,” said Frank Sacca, VP and National Sales Director at Wyoming Whiskey. “He is already hitting the pavement, introducing this one-of-a-kind frontier bourbon to distributors, retailers, bars and restaurants in New York and New Jersey. Stay tuned for exciting developments in these markets!”

Wyoming Whiskey is currently distributed in 13 western states. The strengthened sales force will bring Wyoming Whiskey’s expanded distribution to half a dozen states throughout the Midwest and Northeast, beginning this summer.

Boccino will work full-time for Wyoming Whiskey from New Jersey, where he resides with his wife Cathy and his two sons.

About Wyoming WhiskeyBased in Kirby, Wyoming, Wyoming Whiskey has a simple goal: to create America’s next great bourbon.
