Jax’s proprietary oysters are the hot feature of the day on Thursday, March 31
KANSAS CITY, Mo. (March 18, 2016) Jax Fish House & Oyster Bar is celebrating National Oyster on the Half Shell Day with 75 cent Emersum Oysters on Thursday, March 31. Throwing prices back to 1996, Jax will shell out the freshly shucked oysters for 75 cents starting at 4 p.m., the start of happy hour, until the supply runs out.
Jax's proprietary Emersum Oysters are sustainably harvested out of the Chesapeake Bay by the Rappahannock River Oyster Company. Each Emersum Oyster is harvested at the exact same longitude and latitude to ensure all have a consistent size, taste, texture, and liquor, that naturally juices inside the oysters. Jax’s commitment to the sustainability of the Emersum Oysters is just one of the reasons it is recognized as Missouri’s only certified restaurant partner of the Monterey Bay Aquarium Seafood Watch program, a program that helps consumers and business choose seafood that is fished or farmed in ways that protect sea life and habitats.
