The latest firmware V1.8.07.534 has dropped, giving users’ access to the Obsidian II Core and the new patent-pending Smart Rangefinder feature.

South San Francisco, Calif. (March 2016) – ATN, innovators of advanced night vision, thermal imaging and digital Smart HD optics for hunters, outdoor enthusiasts, military and law enforcement, announces that the long awaited firmware upgrade V1.8.07.534 for the BinoX-HD 4-16X Smart Binoculars with day/night mode is now available. Firmware upgrade V1.8.07.534 brings a number of important enhancements to these smart binoculars.

The firmware upgrade now gives the BinoX-HD 4-16X Smart Binoculars users access to the same Obsidian II Core user interface found in the X-Sight II, including a cockpit-like readout. The Obsidian II Core is a highly specialized computer that is designed to run a suite of sensors and crunch huge files in the blink of an eye. This powerful processor utilizes an array of sensors that allow it to output crisp high-res 1080p images and even light up the night sky with night vision.

Another new feature included with the firmware upgrade is the patent-pending Smart Rangefinder feature. With only two clicks and a simple shift of the binoculars the user will be able to find the range of the subject he or she is observing. The device does the complex math and instantaneously provides the distance in the top left corner of your screen. No more guessing, chart memorization or trying to figure out complex calculations.
