Plantation, FL – March 1st, 2016 – Castle Group (www.castlegroup.com), Florida’s choice for community association management, has successfully completed its second annual Day of Caring on Saturday, February 20th. Castle’s Day of Caring is a day-long event that allows Castle employees to donate their time to improve the lives of others throughout the state of Florida.

“It’s so important to take a step back from our busy lives and dedicate time to giving back to the those in need,” said Cathy Donnelly, Director of Community Relations at Castle. “While many people want to become more charitable in their personal lives it is often difficult to figure out how or where to get started. This day reminds the entire Castle team of the positive impact we can make in our community.”

Castle employees had the option of choosing between eleven Castle-sponsored events from Amelia Island to Miami. Some of the 501c3 organizations Castle partnered with throughout the state included the Boys & Girls Club, the Humane Society, Mission United, Children’s Harbor and Becca’s Closet. This allowed volunteers to serve a broad spectrum of the community.

Team leads successfully worked with Castle members to exceed expectations at each event. The largest team worked with Rebuilding Together - Broward to fix a home in need of repairs for its owners. One team member led a prom dress drive, collecting over fifty gowns for students at Miami Edison High, another worked with Caps of Love to collect thousands of bottle caps to be melted down into parts for wheel chairs for children.

“This year’s Day of Caring was hugely successful. We had more events planned than previously and saw more Castle team members come out to volunteer than ever before,” said Castle’s Founder and CEO James Donnelly. “We are so thrilled to see this event is becoming a highly anticipated annual tradition within the company and that everyone is excited to participate in its success.”

Castle’s Day of Caring promotes the core values of Castle’s philanthropic branch CastleCaresSM by demonstrating to employees how much positive change they can make in the lives of children, families, and people in need in our community through volunteerism and hands-on effort.
