DAYTON, OH—Scot Ganow, an attorney at Faruki Ireland & Cox P.L.L. (www.ficlaw.com), will speak at the Ohio Information Security Conference in Dayton, Ohio on March 9, 2016 at Sinclair Community College. Ganow’s session, titled "10 Years of Data Breach: What We Have Learned and What's Coming," will begin at 10:25 a.m.

Drawing on years of experience as both a Chief Privacy Officer and privacy attorney, Ganow will walk the audience through the history of what has transpired since the first major security event, and when "data breach" became part of the national conversation. He will also provide insights into best practices to follow as the industry adjusts to the new normal of information security.

Ganow’s practice focuses on privacy and information security law. He has written and presented extensively on the topics of data protection, and also holds the Certified Information Privacy Professional (CIPP) certification.
