Jax Chef de Cuisine Theresia Ota creates 5-course St. Patty’s Day menu for March 17

KANSAS CITY, Mo. (Mar. 4, 2016) – Jax Fish House & Oyster Bar is celebrating St. Patrick’s Day with an Irish-inspired five-course menu for $60 on March 17, 2016. Jax Chef De Cuisine Theresea Ota puts her spin on St. Patrick’s Day classics with dishes like Corned Beef Osso Bucco. For the final course, guests will enjoy Jax Pastry Chef Kelly Conwell’s Irish-themed dessert of Apple Amber Pie and Guinness Ice Cream.

The five-course St. Patrick’s Day menu will be available in addition to the regular Jax menu on March 17 starting at 4 p.m. Happy hour will also run from 4-6 p.m. on St. Patrick’s Day.

St. Patrick’s Day Menu

First Course

Lox, Boxty and Caviar

House Lox, Hackleback Caviar, Juniper Crème Fraiche, Dill

Second Course

Fried Oyster and Chips

Beer batter, fingerling frites, malt vinegar gastrique 

Third Course

Colcannon

Cruciferous Greens, Lardons, Crispy Goat Cheese, Grain Mustard Vinagrette, Sunny Quail Egg

Fourth Course

Corned Beef Osso Bucco

Fingerling confit, brussels sprout-meyer lemon gremolata

Fifth Course

Apple Amber Pie and Guinness Ice Cream
