(Butler, PA) Facets, Butler County Community College’s award-winning literary magazine, will host novelist Lisa Harris for a fundraiser from 6:30 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. on March 11 at The Bennitt House on BC3 main campus.

There is a suggested donation of $5 at the door. Refreshments will be served and Harris will sign books available for purchase at the reading.

Harris’ stories, poems, and occasional essays explore the interactions of the human heart with the spirit of place. In her second published novel, Allegheny Dream, Harris delves into the secrets, mysteries, and hopes spanning four generations of Pennsylvanians. These mountains observe, but do not judge, unlike some of the people who live there. Both Allegheny Dream and Harris’s first novel, Geechee Girls, a book set in coastal Georgia, reveals a world of opposites, and of the natural and supernatural in conflict and harmony.
