Dec. 18: Cardlytics Brings 220+ Employees to Premiere of Star Wars: The Force Awakens

“I assure you, Lord Vader. My men are working as fast as they can.” -- Moff Jerjerrod

“…Perhaps I can find new ways to motivate them.” -- Darth Vader

What: Employee motivation isn’t difficult when your company rents out a whole theatre for a private viewing of the most-anticipated movie of the year. Atlanta-based Cardlytics, a data analytics and digital advertising company, will bring its 220+ employees to a screening of Star Wars: The Force Awakens on premiere day.

That’s right, the company is giving all of its employees the morning off to see the seventh movie in the Star Wars film series!

Star Wars has special meaning to Cardlytics. The film series is part of the company’s culture and its Ponce City Market offices are adorned with elements from the series including:

  • Yoda and R2D2 greet visitors in the lobby.

  • Darth Vader guards the main hallway and the dark lord of the Sith has his own conference room.

  • A giant image of the Death Star covers a conference room wall (many of the conference rooms have Star Wars names).

  • Employee training is referred to as Jedi / Padawan training, a method that encourages mentoring. The new employee training room is called the “Jedi Academy.”

  • Employees have been enjoying in-office screenings of the first six movies in the weeks leading up to Episode 7.

Visuals: It is expected that some of the company’s employees will show their love of all things Star Wars by dressing up for the movie premiere.

When: Friday, December 18, 2015, 9 a.m.

Where: Regal Cinemas Hollywood 24, 3265 Northeast Expy NE, Chamblee, GA 30341
