UHY Advisors Brings Back Financial Leaders Seminar (FLS), Training and Networking Program for Finance and Accounting Executives

ATLANTA, December 11, 2015 – Financial, tax and business consulting firm UHY Advisors relaunched its Financial Leaders Seminar (FLS) series in its new office space.  The Q4 2015 FLS was themed “The Best of FLS,” and showcased some of UHY’s highest rated speakers from past events. Attendees awarded each of these speakers a 4.8 out of 5 for their presentations. The event allows financial and accounting professionals to network, train, earn CPE credits and learn about industry trends. The event is invitation-only. 

The speakers for The Best of FLS featured:

• Mike Walworth – GAAP Dynamics, Founder and Chief Executive Officer. Walworth spoke about how revenue recognition, financial instruments and leasing are dramatically altering the U.S. GAAP (Generally Accepted Accounting Principles) landscape.
• David Barton – UHY Advisors, Managing Director. Barton addressed why our information is still insecure, and why we are all still at risk of data breaches. Barton also shared insight into unexpected IT security threats.
• Stephen Colavito – Oppenheimer & Co. Inc., Executive Director of Investments. As central bankers use tools against financial instability, they could be creating a more destabilizing economic problem. Colavito discussed this concern and shared what assets get hurt the most during asset bubbles.

Moving forward, the revamped FLS program will tout a great variety of speakers, and will be held in UHY’s new training center in the King Building at Six Concourse Parkway, Suite 1700, Atlanta, GA, 30328. The new format allows 40 attendees per session to engage in a collaborative, interactive forum where they can learn from both the speakers and each other.
