Brisbane-based arts entrepreneurs and Managing Directors of 4 Stage. Productions, Scott West and Jane Oliffe, are launching their brand new show ‘Wogs In Love’ at the Judith Wright Centre at 420 Brunswick Street, Fortitude Valley from 7 – 14 July 2017.  Described as a Romeo and Juliet meets My Big Fat Greek Wedding, Wogs In Love brings life to a story that will resonate deeply with many Australians – across our rich multicultural country.  Featuring an ensemble cast of Queensland natives, Wogs In Love is going to give Brisbane’s theatre a breath of fresh air.

“We are privileged to put on a production featuring Australian talent and can’t wait for it to come to audiences,” Mr West said earlier today.

“Wogs In Love is a story about love, loss and growth.  There are so many cultures here in Australia that interweave and we wanted to really engage our audience on a journey.

“4 Stage. Productions is very new still, but our shows in the past have sold out and have been very well-received with standing ovations.

“The cast this year really is a stellar lineup and the story follows star crossed Australian lovers Anna and David and a battle with her Greek father who has refused to integrate into Australian culture.

“The story line takes you on David’s journey to try and win over Niko, Anna’s father.

“We are hoping to take the production all over the country.

“4 Stage. Productions is just pleased to be able to stage a production like this that will engage audiences from all over; be it regular theatre goers or first timers.

“We originally started the company because we couldn’t find a production company to work with.  It was hard and still is but I think our young ages gives us an advantage – long gone are the productions of the past.

“We are able to really give audiences what they want – a fresh new take on a trip to the theatre.”
