Wang Chuanfu Attends BYD Harmony’s 100th Overseas Store Opening


Dignitaries inaugurate the new store


On July 12, 2025, Melbourne, the vibrant pearl of the southern hemisphere, Chairman and President of BYD Co., Ltd. Mr. Wang Chuanfu inaugurated and awarded the plaque for Harmony BYD’s 100th overseas store – BYD Caroline Springs.

Guided by BYD's expertise, Harmony Auto achieved an extraordinary milestone: establishing 100  BYD stores across 20 countries and regions within just two years. This meaningful accomplishment not only validates Harmony's global market commitment but demonstrates BYD's deeply integrated globalization strategy – showcasing Chinese brands' vital presence and formidable influence on the world stage.

Over 150 government officials, business leaders and media representatives witnessed the inauguration. Key participants include Wang Chuanfu, Chairman and President of BYD Co., Ltd.; Liu Xueliang, General Manager BYD Asia Pacific Auto Sales Division; Wing You, General Manager of BYD Australia; Feng Changge, Chairman of Harmony Auto; Liang Xinyue, President of Harmony Overseas BYD & GM of Asia Pacific; Sicardo Demiroski, GM of Harmony BYD Melbourne .

Chairman Wang presented the new store with the ‘Harmony's 100th Overseas Store’ plaque. This marks not only a milestone for Harmony’s development but also signifies profound trust and responsibility. Harmony Auto will double its efforts, committing to the mission of 'serving every customer wholeheartedly. We will deeply integrate BYD’s innovative technology, exceptional products, and localized quality services, enabling more consumers to enjoy the future of eco-friendly mobility.

Lian Yubo, EVP of BYD and President of Auto Engineering Research Institute; He Zhiqi, EVP and COO of BYD; Zhou Yalin, SVP and CFO of BYD; Yang Dongsheng, SVP and GM of Automotive New Technology Research Institute of BYD; Zhao Jianping, VP & GM of Quality Division of BYD; Li Wei, VP of BYD; Li Yunfei, GM of BYD Branding and PR Division; Gao Zikai, GM of BYD Auto After-sales Service Division; Cheng Bing, Vice Director of BYD President’s Office; Jia Liaohong, Deputy GM of BYD Australia also attended the ceremony.





Chairman Wang tours the new store

Pre-opening, Chairman Wang examined the showroom and after-sales areas, affirming operational standards while providing guidance. Chairman Wang also personally delivered the first vehicle at the new store to Mr. Harpal Singh Bajwa and his family, commemorating the occasion with photos.

Liu Xueliang delivered a speech at the opening ceremony. He began by congratulating Harmony on the opening of its 100th outlet and expressed gratitude for Harmony's efforts in supporting BYD's overseas expansion. He stated that BYD and its dealer partners have collectively achieved a historic milestone: making a Chinese brand rank among the top 5 in Australia for the first time. BYD has now reached 60,000 cumulative deliveries in Australia. Each vehicle represents a token of responsibility and trust. BYD has both the responsibility and confidence to continue collaborating with all dealer partners to serve Australian consumers well.

The BYD Caroline Springs dealership is strategically located at the intersection of major thoroughfares in Melbourne, situated within the city's largest automotive hub. It stands as Australia's newest and highest-standard BYD 4S store.

To meet customers’ demand for personalized customization, the new dealership features a dedicated premium accessories zone in its showroom. Showcasing multiple wheel rims and performance parts, this space unlocks diverse customization possibilities for flagship models Shark 6 and Sealion 6. With head-turning aesthetics and bespoke upgrades, we aim to deliver a multi-dimensional driving experience—fun to drive, rugged for adventure, comfortable to ride, and delightful to experience—reimagining the future of new energy mobility.
