It’s World Chocolate Day TODAY (Wednesday) and thought you might like this as chocolate care packages are booming during the latest COVID lockdowns.

Even better, new research shows eating chocolate early in the day could aid weight loss!

Rhiannon Druce from Junee Licorice and Chocolate Factory says the factory is receiving hundreds of orders a day from people sending chocolate care packages, including choc pizza wheels and chocolate tasting trays,  to employees, friends, families and clients.

As well as being Australia’s largest organic confectionary maker, Junee Licorice and Chocolate Factory holds two of the Guinness World Records – for the world's longest piece of licorice at 612m, and the world's longest piece of rocky road, measuring 62.2m.

“People are loving the comfort of chocolate with such uncertainty at the moment,” said Rhiannon Druce, General Manager of Junee Licorice and Chocolate Factory.

“We make giant pizza wheels that are way bigger than your head and weigh about half a kilo, and we also do freckle making with a hands-on Willy Wonka experience on the factory tour where people can make their own freckles and rocky roads, and create a little bit of chocolate goodness.”

Hundreds of products are made from chocolate-coated almonds, macadamias, sultanas and bananas, chocolate blocks stuffed with marshmallows, pretzels and ginger, and DIY kits of smash cakes and other various treats are available online. Mid-day squares can have extremely positive effects on your body, helping to lower cholesterol and achieve a healthy weight.

I’ve attached some pics and the factory has loads of gorgeous pictures on its Instagram. There are also some mouth-watering videos of them pouring the chocolate and making chocolate pizza wheels etc here
