Miami Beach, Florida – Nearly all of Switzerland knows Stephan Bosshard; once a household name, casually known as “The Pretzel King” for his founding of a chic and modern quick-service brand of the same name. It brought Bosshard more money, status and possessions than he could have ever imagined.

But, was he successful? According to Bosshard, the answer is no; eventually inspiring him to sell the business and gain what he defined as success – happiness!

In his empowering and hugely-entertaining new autobiography, Bosshard takes readers on a journey through his life and exploits, in the hope they too will plot a course for their own dreams.

Synopsis of ‘Swiss Recipe To Happiness’:

Since his childhood, the author was always on the lookout for true happiness and the freedom it promised. At eighteen, marked by a broken home, he thought he had found great happiness in love. He even tried for a while to get established in Germany. But then he followed his family’s tradition at home. At a very young age, he became immediately successful as an independent market vendor.

Yet this autobiography, which reads like a suspenseful novel, is not just about the career of this Swiss pretzel pioneer, which reached ist zenith with the opening of the world’s most modern pretzel factory. In addition, the author surprises the reader with numerous exciting, extremely amusing stories drawn directly from life.

Bosshard always lets the reader take part in his adventures in real time.  Put on your life jacket and thrill to hair-raising sailing exploits in the stormy Mediterranean! Watch out for Hurricane Andrew, take a first-class seat in a jumbo, and experience a crazy trip around the world!  You are there when the author finds inspiration in Tokyo, and you won’t miss any of his amorous escapades either. Share in his extraordinary adventures in Las Vegas and enjoy a New Year’s Eve party with Frank Sinatra at the Caesars Palace!

The author’s optimism and zest for action will motivate you. He convinces you that he really has discovered the RECIPE TO HAPPINESS.

“My life is certainly a success story with a difference,” explains Bosshard. “I built myself up from nothing to become one of the nation’s most loved and successful entrepreneurs. However, I lacked happiness and freedom, and now steadfastly know that I wasn’t as successful as I thought I was. In fact, I completely failed at working on myself.”

Continuing, “I hope my transition motivates readers to inject a bit of Swiss flavor into their own American dream. The potential is boundless!”

Since its release, the book has garnered a string of rave reviews. Urs Bühler comments, “This is the story of a Swiss businessman who thought he had fulfilled his dreams, but then realized that on the way, he had lost sight of his real goals. He let go of what he had achieved, sold his company and regained what he had lost: his freedom. The company is still known today as the ‘Pretzel King’. The man is Stephan Bosshard.”

About the Author:

Although Stephan Bosshard was born (on August 6, 1960) and raised in Switzerland, it wouldn’t be quite appropriate to call him the typical Swiss.

Due to his not exactly carefree childhood, he took his life into his own hands quite early and began to dream of true happiness.

He found it – not where one might expect, in his success and wealth, but in the subtleties of daily life. He learned from experience that true happiness consists of love, leisure time and good health.

On the zenith of his career – around the turn of the Millennium – he decided to let go. He sold his life’s work, the “Pretzel King” business, at a profit. For the time being, that spelled a Happy End to his earlier chase after happiness.

Today, Bosshard lives a happy, contented life - with his wife and their dog GIGI – away from any common  daily routine,  in Switzerland and on his yacht in Florida. He is convinced that on the way he has found his RECIPE TO HAPPINESS.
