Stewart Matter Sr., began his career in 1955 as a sales representative for Simmons Mattress Company. After several years of traveling various states, he decided to open a furniture showroom in his hometown of Ft. Wayne, Indiana in order to be home every night with his family. After 20 years of success, he decided to move to Florida. Over the years, his sons, Stewart II, David, Tom, John, and Gary joined him and have grown the business to one of the most successful furniture companies in the country.

"We specialize in coastal tropical designs from the world's finest manufacturers. Custom made mattresses from our own factory and extraordinary interior design. We know our selection and prices are the best. We feel so strongly about this that we guarantee it! If you find the same product at a major stocking dealer in southwest Florida, we will match our competitor's price. We will not be undersold! We don't believe in using exaggerated retail pricing and waiting for you to ask for a "deal". We shop and take advantage of our volume purchasing power to provide the best possible selection and price. You don't have to negotiate because we already did it for you! You can buy with confidence that you're getting the very best price everyday, whether it's in stock or special order! When you know you're getting the best price you can relax and focus your energy on finding the right furniture for your home and we can help you do it."

Sincerely,

Stewart II, David, Tom, John, and Gary Matter
