Vibrant tableware from Libbey enhances Asian food and beverage experiences
There’s craft beer, artisan spirits and now craft sake. Sake’s growing popularity is spurring great interest in Asian food, specifically regional cuisines, including Thai, Japanese, Vietnamese and Malaysian. Create bold, authentic Asian-inspired food and beverage presentations with new products from Libbey® Foodservice.

“Offering global cuisine or putting an Asian twist to menu items is a great opportunity for restaurateurs to bring cultural elements to the tabletop, elevating the dining experience,” said Susan J. Dountas, director of foodservice marketing for Libbey Inc. “Bold, eye-catching tableware can enrich chefs’ presentations of Asian-inspired foods.”

A Technomic report noted, "Asian cuisine’s continued growth is thanks in part to millennials who are drawn to new dining experiences. They’re looking for bolder and spicier flavors, and something different."

According to the Japan Sake and Shochu Makers Association, outside of Japan, the U.S. is the biggest market for rice wine. To present this quintessential Japanese beverage in an authentic way that enhances the overall experience, Libbey has expanded its bold World® Tableware Hakone dinnerware collection to include a Sake Bottle and Cup. The 9 oz. Hakone Sake Bottle features a modern black matte finish that complements the bold turquoise well and rust and brown enamel accents of the 2 oz. Hakone Sake Cup.

Rice and noodles are key ingredients in Asian cuisine. New World Tableware Rice Bowls, available in three sizes, are lightweight and ideal for keeping food hot. The brushed stainless steel construction is a beautiful accent for the table and provides durability and lasting performance.
