On Sat., Nov. 14, Hattie Larlham hosts the 15th annual Rudolph H. Garfield Circle of Caring at the Signature of Solon. Sponsored by The Alpha Group, the Circle of Caring funds programs for people with developmental disabilities served by Hattie Larlham.

Kathleen Sanniti, Director of Women and Children’s Ambulatory and Community Acute Care Services at UH Rainbow Babies and Children's Hospital and UH MacDonald Women's Hospital, is this year’s honoree.

Sanniti has been on the Hattie Larlham board of directors since 2000, serving as president of the Hattie Larlham Community Living and Center for Children with Disabilities boards.

“I’ve had the privilege of working with Kathy when she was president of our community living board,” said Dotty Grexa, Hattie Larlham Vice President of Vocational and Enterprise Services. “Kathy is forward thinking, devoted to Hattie Larlham’s mission and most importantly, she puts the best interests of the people we serve first and foremost.”

“Kathy Sanniti is an integral member of the Hattie Larlham Board,” said Hattie Larlham Board of Directors President Michael Weinhardt. “Her dedication, leadership and years of experience in the healthcare field benefit the entire organization and the people we serve.”

To honor the Sanniti family’s farming heritage and interest in Hattie’s Gardens, this event will have a garden theme. The event includes red-carpet photos, entertainment, a cocktail reception, a full course dinner, a wine pull and live, silent and fund-a-need auctions. The fund-a-need auction will benefit Hattie’s Food Hub, a produce processing facility and retail market.

Event guests and supporters can preview live and silent auction items at www.hattielarlham.org. They can also place bids and purchase items at the event using BidPal® software on their mobile devices.

The Circle of Caring will incorporate contributions from Hattie Larlham agencies, including desserts by Hattie’s Café & Gifts, centerpieces by Hattie’s Assembly, bidding paddles made by Constant Companions participants and table décor by Hattie Larlham’s ACHIEVE program.

Unique sponsorship opportunities are available. For more information, contact Hattie Larlham Events Manager Wendy Voelker at (330) 274-2272, ext. 3087, or wendy.voelker@hattielarlham.org.
