Faruki Ireland Cox’s Steve Weigand Honored as a Gentlemen of Style Substance

CINCINNATI— Steve Weigand, associate atFaruki Ireland & Cox P.L.L. (www.ficlaw.com), has been named one of the honorees at the 2015 Gentlemen of Style & Substance. The event, hosted by the Cincinnati Parks Foundation, took place at Carol Ann’s Carousel at Smale Riverfront Park.

Weigand attributes his style and substance to the mentors in his life:

“I feel very fortunate to have had many inspirational figures in my life. In particular, my father taught me so much. He was the hardest worker I knew, but he was the most selfless and devoted father possible. He taught me the value of deep loyalty and love of family combined with hard work as well,” said Weigand.

Weigand’s practice at FI&C involves a variety of areas, such as breach of contract, business torts, product liability defense, class action defense and bankruptcy litigation. He is a member of the Potter Stewart American Inn of Court, the American Bar Association and the Cincinnati Bar Association.

Alongside his work at FI&C, Weigand is the co-chair of the Professional Leadership Network, an organization affiliated with the Dan Beard Council, which is made up of young, leadership-driven professionals who provide mentorship to underserved youth. Weigand also head the planning of PLN’s annual dodgeball tournament, which raises funds to send youth to challenge camps.

Gentlemen of Style & Substance is a one-of-a-kind event in Cincinnati which honors the year’s most distinguished gentlemen. Honorees are chosen from a variety of professional backgrounds based on their involvement and commitment to the community. Proceeds from the event benefit the Cincinnati Park’s Nature Next Door program, which provides positive, fun and educational experiences for children in inner city low-income neighborhoods.
