Interactive Evening Featuring Artist Ben Roth to Launch Stio’s Mountain Studio Series

CHICAGO (September 23, 2015) – Founded to inspire a connection with the outdoors, Jackson Hole apparel company Stio strives to bring the authentic mountain lifestyle to its customers through award-winning products, outdoor stewardship, and now its Mountain Studio Series. The calendar of events debuts at the Stio Mountain Studio in Chicago on Tuesday, September 29, with Jackson native and materials artist Ben Roth leading a captivating evening detailing his creative process, during which attendees will build their own works of recycled art.

A materials artist working in the reclaimed and recycled materials medium, Roth focuses on conservation as well as aesthetics when creating his work. At the first Mountain Studio Series event, Roth will share his creative process, techniques and problem-solving methods in conjunction with a do-it-yourself workshop called Scraptacular. Hosted by Chicago art non-profit Rebuilding Exchange, Scraptacular will provide materials for attendees to create their own original recycled art while they enjoy a wine tasting and light fare from Tenzing Wines.
