Colorado Springs, Colo. - HPE, Inc. has announced the promotion of Chris Watts to QA/QC Manager, a new position that will enhance the company’s focus on quality assurance and control.

"Ultimately, this position has been created to add additional support to our Operations Team and ensure we are fulfilling our promises to our clients,” explained Chairman & COO Kelly Eustace. “If we want to be the best, then we need to deliver the best.”

The new position of QA/QC Manager will be integral in maintaining HPE’s strong reputation by integrating quality principals into daily HPE operational culture. Watts’ top priority will be to ensure that projects not only finish strong, but also continue to exceed customer expectations.

In keeping with its tradition of promoting from within, HPE selected Chris Watts, who started at HPE, Inc. as a plumbing foreman, to fill the new position. Watts will continue to work as a trainer for the company’s plumbing and pipefitting apprentice program.

“His role adds another layer to the operational support in the field and ensuring we continue to be field-centric in our approach to running HPE,” says Eustace. “We also feel this is going to be a differentiator for HPE as this is not usually a full-time position in our industry or a company of our size."

The new position was created to take HPE’s field operations to the next level. The QA/QC Manager will oversee and implement HPE’s Quality Control Plan. Watts will be called upon to anticipate and identify QA/QC concerns, making sure that the company delivers on what it promises.

Since joining the HPE team as a plumbing foreman in 2010, Watts has had a hand in implementing quality to all the various aspects of the job. In 2013, he became an apprentice training instructor providing on the job core skills training for HPE’s apprentices. As an instructor, Watts was responsible for training apprentices in best practices for plumbing and pipefitting. He will bring his attention to detail and focus on quality to his new position. By promoting Watts from within the company, HPE ensures a continuing commitment to the company core value of quality and “honest performance everyday.”
