ASPEN SNOWMASS, Colo.—Sept. 4, 2015 – For eleven consecutive years, The Meeting has been a mark of the approaching winter season for snowsports enthusiasts, filmmakers, athletes, industry insiders, media and fans. This year, The Meeting 11 will take place Oct. 1-3, 2015 with the main theater in Wagner Park. The weekend will once again deliver a packed schedule with the latest ski and snowboard films, a conference of panels and speakers, networking, and live music at Belly Up Aspen. The Meeting has evolved into a snow sports industry staple highlighted with an influential conference for snow and action sports brands that brings together filmmakers, media, resorts and others. Tickets for films will be available through the Wheeler Opera box office (www.aspenshowtix.com) on Sept 11. Registration for The Meeting weekend package starts at $349 per person, which includes all panels, movies, activities, music and parties. “Every year there are unique aspects to The Meeting and I am really excited to be back in Wagner Park to feed the excitement for the upcoming season with an outdoor party and chance to watch the top snow films,” says Deric Gunshor, Aspen Skiing Company Event Marketing Senior Manager.

MOVIES

This year’s confirmed feature films include: A Film by Clayton Villa – For Lack of Better, Level 1 – Small World, Superproof – Masquerade, Teton Gravity Research – Paradise Waits, Transworld Snowboarding – Origins, Will Film for Food – Seasoned, 32 Boots – 2032. Additional films will be announced soon.

CONFERENCE

The conference portion of The Meeting 11 is powered by Group Y, an action sports collective of individuals focused on uniting industries and igniting ideas. The conference takes place on Friday, Oct. 2 and will focus on all aspects of content with discussions focused on delivering marketing value, effectively using social platforms, fostering an audience and generating return on investment. There will be multiple panel discussions, group idea sessions and a moderated conversation with Daniel Houghton, CEO of Lonely Planet. Panelists and specific discussion topics will be announced soon.

Individual tickets to movies in Wagner Park will be on sale through the Wheeler box office beginning Sept. 11 or online at www.aspenshowtix.com.
