Starting September 4, students, teachers, and anyone else around the state who wants to can follow a group of wounded veterans as they embark on the journey of a lifetime—to climb the 13,804-foot Gannett Peak right here in the Wind River Mountains of Wyoming. Warriors to Summits, a program of No Barriers, is a national expedition sponsored by Wells Fargo & Company, that empowers veterans to overcome barriers and unleash their potential. No Barriers is bringing Warriors to Summits to local classrooms across the country to motivate and inspire students. Students can take part in the Warriors to Summits journey from their classrooms, tracking the climbers on their 2-week ascent through daily blogs, photos, videos, lessons and short activities. Teachers and students can follow the veterans during the 2-week expedition, exploring what it means to respond to life’s challenges with dignity, integrity, respect and courage.
