DAYTON, OH—Martin Foos, partner at Faruki Ireland & Cox, has been named Chair of the Ohio State Bar Association’s Litigation Section as of July 1, 2015. Foos will oversee all activities of the Litigation Section, including its publications, presentations, participation at the OSBA convention, sponsorship of awards, its comments and input on rules and legislation affecting litigation concerns.

The Litigation Section seeks to promote the professional interests of Ohio lawyers, legal assistants, law students and judges in the resolution of disputes and cases in the court systems of Ohio. It fosters unity between members by providing a forum where members can share information, resources and experiences. It also publishes and distributes educational and professional materials and undertakes other activities that enhance the competence and skill of lawyers and improves their ability to deliver the highest quality of litigation-related professional legal services.

"I'm looking forward to leading the Litigation Section this next year.  We are an active group with many interesting programs and projects planned."

Foos’s practice focuses on complex commercial litigation. He primarily works on information privacy, class action defense, and business competition matters. He is a past president of the Carl D. Kessler Inn of Court and a Fellow in the Ohio State Bar Foundation.  He frequently presents on litigation topics including presentations to new lawyers.
