In Lander:

Start July 4th with the Annual Lander Half Marathon, walkers 6 a.m., runners 6:30 a.m. Then enjoy the Lander Senior Center Pancake Breakfast 7-9 a.m. $5, 205 South 10th Street. The July 4th Pioneer Days Parade is a favorite and starts at 10 a.m. on Main Street, Lander. This is the World's Oldest Historical Pageant Parade. After the parade, head on down to Lander City Park for the annual buffalo BBQ 11 a.m.-2 p.m. Tickets ($7) are usually sold during the parade or purchase tickets at the Lander Chamber of Commerce. Tickets are $8 at the door.

Then catch the fast rodeo action during the world's oldest paid rodeo in Lander. The 121st Pioneer Days Rodeo is July 3rd and 4th in Lander, Wyoming at the Lander Rodeo Grounds. It has western action and excitement for everyone! The rodeo events (6:30 p.m.) include saddle bronc, Jr. bull riding, bareback riding, barrels, steer wrestling, ultimate miniature bull riding, team roping, and much more!

On both evenings at the Lander Rodeo, the Indian relay is a fast and entertaining race. Native American riders ride bareback around the track exchanging horses after each lap. Pre-sale tickets are $8 for adults, $4 for kids (6-12). At the gate tickets are $10 for adults, $5 for kids. Call the Lander Chamber of Commerce - 307-332-3892 for tickets. On July 4th stay for the festive fireworks after the rodeo at dusk.

In Dubois:

July 3: National Bighorn Sheep Center 22nd Birthday Party - FREE “BRAT”LUNCH @noon (till food is gone). 307-455-3429. 

July 3: Rodeo - 8 P.M. Clarence Allison Memorial Arena

July 4: Kiwanis Kid’s Games in City Park -10:30 a.m. 307-455-2269. Parade - 2 P.M. Starts at Town Park. THEME: "Dubois Rising; Honor the Past, Embrace the Future" 307-455-2556. Cub Scout’s Annual “Ducky” Race in Horse Creek (After the parade.) Fireworks at dusk. Ice Cream Social on the Lawn at St. Thomas Church (9 S. 1st St.) 3-5 p.m. 307-455-2556.

July 5: Dubois Chamber of Commerce Chicken BBQ at Town Park. 12:30-4 p.m. p.m. 307-455-2556 $12 adult $6 ten and under Local entertainment.

In Riverton:

July 3: Shooting Range open: re-entry shoot 9 a.m. – 11 a.m. at the Shooting Range. Hawk & Knife re-entry & practice 11 a.m.-4 p.m. at the Hawk & Knife Range. Candy Cannon fired off randomly throughout the day. Seminar- 9 a.m – 11 a.m. KIDS intro to hawk throwing. Seminar – 9:30 a.m. – 11 a.m. Setting up the Crow Teepee. Seminar- 11 a.m. – 12 p.m., Intro to primitive archery. Seminar – 12 p.m. to 1 p.m.- Primative/Frontier foods and cooking. Seminar -1 p.m. Teepee Lore, customs, life style, etc on the American Indian plains Teepee. Seminar – 1:30 – 3 p.m. Kids activities, crafts, gamesSeminar – 3 p.m. – 4 p.m.  Fire Making with Flint and Steel. July 4: Calcutta - Auction @ Roost 9 a.m. Calcutta Shoot - immediately following Auction at the Shooting Range. Hawk walk and fun competitions, 12 p.m. - 3pm. Candy Cannon fired off randomly throughout the day. Seminar- 9 a.m – 11 a.m. KIDS intro to hawk throwing. Seminar – 9:30 a.m. – 11 a.m. Setting up the Crow Teepee. Seminar- 11 a.m. – 12 p.m., Teepee Lore, customs, life style, etc on the American Indian plains Teepee. Seminar – 11:30 a.m. to 1 p.m.- Frontier “Kid’s Grub.” Seminar -1 p.m. – 2 p.m. Intro to primitive archery. Seminar- 1:30 – 3 p.m. Kids activities, crafts, games. Seminar – 3 p.m. – 4 p.m.  Fire Making with Flint and Steel. Frontier games 4:30 – 6:30 near the Roost.  Fun for kids of all ages. Council Fire, Prize Awards, Entertainment 7:30 p.m. at the Council Fire
