LOS ANGELES, Calif. (June 30, 2015) – The 15th AnnualCalifornia Coast Classic Bicycle Tour, presented by Amgen, is pleased to announce that they will be moving day four of the event from San Simeon to the scenic seaside village of Cambria. The new route change is being announced in conjunction with a generous $10,000 grant from the Cambria Board of Tourism.

The California Coast Classic Bicycle Tour (CCCBT) is an eight-day, 525-mile, fully supported ride along the scenic Highway One to raise funds for the Arthritis Foundation. The ride begins in San Francisco on September 26 and ends in Los Angeles on October 3. Located midway between San Francisco and Los Angeles, Cambria marks the ideal stopover for day four, September 29.

Cambria is not only a destination for cycling, but boasts some of California’s most scenic coastline and a charming downtown, as described by Pragna Patel, Cambria Tourism Board Marketing Chair. “Cambria is a cycling hot spot - we have regional, national, and international cyclists constantly visiting our area to take advantage of our wonderful rides and beautiful views,” says Patel. “Supporting the 15th Annual California Coast Classic Bicycle Tour is a perfect opportunity to support the Arthritis Foundation, as well as our love for cyclists. We are very excited to host the event, and look forward to welcoming the riders to our delightful community.”

“We are incredibly grateful to the Cambria Board of Tourism for their support of the California Coast Classic,” says Amy Daugherty, Arthritis Foundation Chief Development Officer. “Partnerships like this make the California Coast Classic possible, as well as give us an opportunity to highlight the quintessential coastal towns along Highway One that make this ride so special.”
