Revolutionary interactive resource, sample management library for interior design professionals now offers innovative project management tool.

CHICAGO  -- PaletteApp™, the industry-leading online, interactive resource and sample management library is debuting its Binder Tool at NeoCon 2015. NeoCon, North America’s largest exposition and conference for the interior design profession, is held in Chicago, June 15-17 at The Merchandise Mart.

“PaletteApp is a revolutionary platform that allows design professionals to select product, order samples and create specifications in significantly less time than using binders from a traditional physical materials library,” said Jerry Freeman, founder and CEO of PaletteApp. “And now, with PaletteApp’s new Binder Tool, designers, architects and general contractors will have the ability to create binders specific to their needs, such as closeout, project, furniture, maintenance, insurance and art.”

The PaletteApp Binder Tool quickly and easily creates a project binder on the PaletteApp site from the palettes in the users’ accounts. All of the product documents, such as specification sheets, installation sheets, maintenance sheets, warranties and MSDS are in the PaletteApp database. The user can readily and easily choose the documents they need from one location. For examples, a palette with 36 products and more than 1,600 product information sheets can be created in approximately five minutes.

The PaletteApp binder tool saves an average of 30 hours per project, and reduces administrative hours spent on closeout binders by 90 percent. The cost for a PaletteApp binder is only $500 compared to the $1600-2000 in billable hours spent creating a comparable document. Binders can be printed, emailed or stored on our cloud-based platform.

PaletteApp at NeoCon 2015

To kick off NeoCon 2015, on Sunday June 14, PaletteApp is hosting a panel discussion at the IIDA headquarters on “The Future of Resource Libraries”. The event will be moderated by John Rouse, Publisher of Contract magazine and the panelists are individuals from leading design firm such as Perkins Eastman, VOA, Kadlec Architecture + Design, The Gettys Group, IA Chicago and NELSON. The event will be recorded and will be available to view at a later date.

The PaletteApp team will be at NeoCon 2015 all week to meet with designers and product manufacturers to demonstrate the features and benefits of the new Project Binder Tool, as well as the other innovative tools in the PaletteApp suite. Additionally, PaletteApp is a sponsor of the IIDA Student Design Charette and Ready to Work presentation that will be held on Wednesday June 17, 2015.

About PaletteApp

PaletteApp was created to change the decades-old, inefficient and resource-intensive process in which interior designers, architects and product manufacturers managed samples. Traditionally, carpet, wallpaper, fabric, paint and other manufacturers sent physical sample books to interior designers to consider using in their projects, which resulted in massive quantities of materials occupying precious real estate in design firms across the country. PaletteApp digitized this process and now the design industry is able to select, order, deliver and manage sample inventory through a digital catalog. Palettes are stored in a library and can be shared or referenced for reordering product, or as templates for future projects This process creates material time savings of approximately 30business days annually for designers, and dramatic costs savings for the manufacturers that spend $3.75BN a year on physical sample books.

PaletteApp’s original web-based application geared toward design professionals debuted in 2012. The PaletteApp suite also includes PaletteApp Rep, an application designed to help product manufacturer sales representatives with sample and project management, and PaletteApp Student allows design students to learn about products, order samples, and build project palettes, while also providing design schools the most up-to-date resource library.
