The Flat is launching a new event on Thursday nights – inspiring everyone to get out – and get loose -- on the dance floor. The new weekly event, “Get Loose,” will feature DJs Andy V and LuzThe Get Loose launch begins at 10 p.m. on Thursday, June 18 at the Montrose neighborhood bar located at 1701 Commonwealth.

“This is going to be an incredible launch celebration,” managing partner DJ Sun, whose off-stage name is Andre Sam-Sin, said. “You won’t want to miss the Get Loose launch – and DJs Andy V and Luz will continue to carry the torch and keep shaking things up at the weekly events.”

The Flat is heading into its 10th year in business -- and DJ Sun is planning more special events to enhance the venue’s offerings. “We want to provide the ultimate experience for someone looking for great music, the option to dance, a rum-inspired drink menu and high-quality, cutting edge small vineyard wine selection,” he said. “You can walk in on any night and have the best time with our music offerings and drink selections, with top notch customer service in a comfortable setting.” 

The Flat is recognized for its wide variety of cocktails, great music and fun décor. About the Flat

Located at 1701 Commonwealth, in Houston's Montrose neighborhood arts enclave, the Flat serves up cocktails with a focus on high-end rums. There is also a wide selection of wines and local beer on tap. The lounge is known as a great venue for music and a space to show off moves on the dance floor. The food menu features wings and unique, gourmet pizzas. The bar is open seven days a week - from 4 p.m. to 2 a.m. Monday through Saturday and from 1 p.m. to 2 a.m. on Sundays. Happy hour is from 4 p.m. to 9 p.m. Tuesday through Saturday and all day on Monday. Sunday offers reverse happy hour from 6 p.m. to 2 a.m.
