Actress CHRISTINE SYRON Faces Tragedy on Investigation Discovery’s Newest Crime Series “MURDER AMONG FRIENDS”
- Written by Pitch Engine
Known for its documentary-style programming dealing with real crime subjects, Investigation Discovery unveiled its latest installment, MURDER AMONG FRIENDS. This new show focuses on storylines about the deadly limitations among friends. During the second episode, Syron steps in as a worried parent about to face her worst nightmare.
Syron jumped at the chance to flex her dramatic abilities, adding “It was an incredibly emotional role. In order to tell the story truthfully, I needed to be vulnerable at every moment. I stayed very quiet between shots and kept to myself to stay focused and really live in a parent's greatest heartbreak. Imagination and preparation were my best friends.”
Audiences will recognize Syron from her previous appearance on the network’s BLOOD RELATIVES. In the Season Three episode titled “The Jones Case,” Syron shined as the wife and mother of a seemingly ‘Camelot’ style family that unravels after a young woman enters the picture.
Both fact-based shows are produced by Dave Cargill, who reached out to Syron directly this time around, knowing from the beginning that he wanted her for the role in MURDER AMONG FRIENDS.
Previously, Syron was a member of the prestigious Joffrey Ballet in New York City, performing in numerous productions including the memorable “Billboards,” which showcased music from contemporary artist Prince. Syron is also a trained actor, having studied under the legendary William Esper; and at David Mamet’s Atlantic Theatre and with Sanford Meisner’s protégée Suzanne Shepherd. Syron voiced the character Julia LaForenze in the Caslevania video game series and secured several long-running ad campaigns while with the Ford Modeling Agency before making her way to Los Angeles.
