MYRTLE BEACH, SOUTH CAROLINA (February 1, 2016) – Visit Myrtle Beach today announced a unique partnership with TaxSlayer.com, an online tax preparation and e-filing service, and JR Motorsports, the professional race team and management company for Dale Earnhardt Jr. While the collaboration brings together vastly different industries and organizations, their like-minded approach to business and similar audiences make them a strong trio.

The partners will collaborate on a 2016 program that will use databases and marketing experts to cross-promote to brand loyal customers across various touchpoints. One such promotion will involve TaxSlayer.com gifting families with an incredible Myrtle Beach, S.C., vacation, including oceanfront accommodations. The program will kick off on January 15, 2016, and wrap on Tax Day, or April 18, 2016.

“We saw an opportunity to work with two organizations that share our business values and customer audiences, and to align our resources to more effectively communicate with these audiences,” said Scott Schult, executive vice president of marketing for Visit Myrtle Beach. “Tax season can be a stressful period of time for any family. We’re eager to make it more enjoyable and rewarding in 2016 by making the fun-filled and relaxing destination of Myrtle Beach, S.C., part of it.”

Legendary NASCAR driver Dale Earnhardt Jr., driver of the No. 88 TaxSlayer.com Chevrolet, will also be involved in the campaign. Dale Jr. and TaxSlayer.com have a long-running partnership that was recently extended and expanded for the 2016 season.

“Strong business partnerships are at the core of our mission to reach more American taxpayers looking for a simple solution for filing taxes,” said Steven Binder, Chief Marketing Officer for TaxSlayer LLC. “JR Motorsports has been an outstanding partner of TaxSlayer for many years, and we look forward to a similar opportunity working with Visit Myrtle Beach. We are excited to reward American families with a memorable trip to Myrtle Beach.”

“JR Motorsports has been fortunate to have a prosperous partnership with TaxSlayer since 2011”, said Kelley Earnhardt Miller, general manager of JR Motorsports. “But we are always striving to provide creative ways for partners to further utilize our platforms.  This new relationship with Visit Myrtle Beach is a great program, and exemplifies the proactive business-to-business efforts of all three parties.
