Lift23 Partners with Peter Glenn for Donation 600 Pairs of Socks to His House Children’s Home

New York, NY (December 30, 2015)Lift 23 Socks, manufacturers of the world’s most comfortable ski socks, has partnered with Peter Glenn ski shops in Florida to complete a sock drop of 600 pairs to His House Children’s Home in Miami, FL.

Originally conceived to provide socks - the most requested and least donated item - to the over 23,000 homeless children in New York City shelters, Lift23 has partnered with key retailers to expand sock donations to more cities where Lift23 socks are sold.

Working with the management at Peter Glenn’s Florida locations, Lift23 socks have been placed for maximum visibility and the staff have been trained on the finer points of sock construction and the vision of His House Children’s Home: that the hearts of all children and families in crisis be healed, and that every child has a safe and nurturing home. Shop floor employees have been briefed on how the sale of each pair of Lift23 socks provides one pair for a local kid who needs help the most. Many of the staff asked if they could visit the Home and how they can help further.

“We are so thankful that Lift 23 and Peter Glenn have chosen to partner with His House,” said Sandra Sanchez, Development Department Manager at His House Children’s Home.  “Our kids are always in need of socks and they love the ones Lift 23 gave them.  It was a great beginning to the holiday season.”

Lift 23 designed the donation socks in collaboration with the NYC Department of Homeless Services, to best fit the needs of the kids. The socks are distributed to children living in shelters through “sock drops” that also include fun activities the kids might not otherwise get to try, like bowling and golf.

Lift23 snowsport socks are super comfortable performance socks designed to keep feet dry and warm. Their Merino wool is triple washed prior to manufacturing to ensure a soft feel. Using the most advanced knitting technology and adding compression zones at the ankle and arch, Lift23 socks enable elite performance and provide warmth and moisture management for snow sport enthusiasts of all types
