FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE

Sought-after oceanfront 2.5-acre luxury estate along world-famous Hawaii beach is officially FOR SALE

HONOLULU (December 22, 2015) — One of the most talked about oceanfront properties on the beautiful Hawaiian island of Oahu was listed for sale yesterday with an asking price of $28 million.51 Kaikea Place is a sprawling 2.5-acre Kailua retreat that has captured the attention of potential buyers from all corners of the globe. The Kailua zip code has also been making world headlines recently. President Obama returned to Hawaii this past weekend for his annual Hawaii family vacation, and 51 Kaikea Place is located less than five minutes away from the President’s vacation home.

The estate features 200 plus linear feet of postcard perfect white sand beach frontage along one of the top beaches in the country, Kailua beach. The sale also includes two adjacent 10,000 sq. foot parcels in front of the main gate that may be used for additional dwellings.

Scott Eden of Newmark Grubb CBI, the agent representing the owner of the estate, said that the value of “51 Kaikea Place will only continue to grow as the mass urbanization of Honolulu unfolds. Land of this sheer size is becoming increasingly hard to find on Oahu, particularly in such a desirable beachfront location and as part of a cosmopolitan suburb with some of Hawaii’s hottest bars, restaurants and boutiques.”Inside the gated front and rear entry of lava rock walls, the prospective owner will enjoy island-style indoor/outdoor living that takes advantage of Hawaii’s year-round warm climate.51 Kaikea Place includes three homes – a main home, a guest home, and a caretaker home, designed by renowned Hawaii architect, Fritz Johnson.  The homes were fully renovated in 2008. The estate contains 7,851 square feet of living area, 4,466 square feet of open lanai area, 1,121 square feet of storage area and 870 square feet of garage/carport areas. All fixtures, furniture and equipment are included in the sale, excluding the paintings. For more information about 51 Kaikea Place in Hawaii, visit www.51kaikea.com.
